HOW IT HAPPENED...
Inspired by friendship and the love of fitness the Bod Squad is brought to you by Brianne D’Andrea and Linda Molenaar. After years of training together and sharing ideas for their own unique and challenging fitness program, the Bod Squad was born.
Our Brant Bod Squad Bootcamp team works out both indoors and out. Outdoors, we utilize the elements there, including landscape boulders, hills and the local terrain. We create unique workouts that are both fun and challenging for every fitness level. The outdoor workouts are a hit with our team members who want an alternative to a traditional gym setting. Alternate exercises are always offered based on individual fitness levels.
Healthy meal plans are also provided for the team. We do not believe in severe, calorie restrictive diets, that usually result in short term weight loss. Instead we promote a healthy lifestyle, that includes a realistic and nutritious meal plan & regular group workouts designed to motivate, not intimidate. We are available 24/7 to provide guidance and advice, to help you meet both your weight loss and fitness goals!
I'm a proud Mom of two amazing daughters. They were both very active in sports growing up, and I always tried to set an example for them by taking the time to be active myself.
I originally met my fitness partner Brianne, when we worked out together at the gym, and she subsequently became a personal trainer. I was always a huge fan of her challenging fitness classes, and hired Brianne to cross-train my daughter to qualify for the National swim team….we soon became good friends!
Although I had worked as a self-employed graphic designer & publisher for many years, I knew how empowering being physically fit had been for me, and I was inspired to pursue my Personal Trainer Certification as well, at University of Toronto. I wanted to help others gain the self-confidence and good health, that being physically fit brings to your life!
Over the years, Brianne & I started to discuss our mutual interest in providing a better fitness option than a traditional gym. Our goal was to “motivate not intimidate” and we both believe that group fitness & goal setting, is the best way to challenge yourself to be the best that you can be.
I’m passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, and for me that includes nutrition as well as fitness, as I believe they go hand in hand. I love to cook, and enjoy the challenge of adjusting recipes to make them as nutritious as possible.
My goal is to inspire people of all ages to be in the best shape of their lives, and I personally try to live that example every day. It has been an absolute thrill for me to see such amazing results with the great people we have on our fitness team!
I have been active since childhood, playing sports like competitive soccer and figure skating. As a teen I began attending fitness classes at a local gym after gaining some weight. I was always a chubby child in elementary school and remembered the teasing, so I knew I had to be more physically active and make healthy changes to my eating habits. The positive changes I made then, have stayed with me into adulthood. I try to practice healthy living each and every day.
I worked In Special Events for many years, but I knew it wasn’t the career for me. Since University I had worked as a part-time Certified Fitness Instructor and later a Certified Personal Trainer. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed fitness, especially group fitness. I had this insatiable passion for inspiring others to become healthy and active. I’m a mother of two very active young girls and I decided after my eldest daughter was born, to quit my full-time job to focus on a fitness career.
I originally met Linda when we both took the same fitness classes at the gym. After becoming a certified Personal Trainer, I trained her daughter who was a competitive swimmer, and Linda & I quickly became good friends.
Over the years, Linda and I begin to discuss our mutual interest in providing a better fitness option for those that want something different from a traditional gym. Our goal was to “motivate not intimidate” and we both believe that group fitness and goal setting, is the best way to challenge yourself to be the best that you can be.
I’m passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, and that includes both fitness and nutrition. This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a meal out or have your favourite treat, but you do have to be mindful of the choices you make in order to achieve favourable results.
My goal is to make fitness fun for our clients, and something they look forward to. I also want people to know that eating healthy not only tastes good, but makes you feel good. I too, try to make healthy choices everyday for both myself and my family. It’s so rewarding for me when our clients achieve their goals, and we were there to help!
